I feel like I need more of something. I know I have a bedding set pick out and baby bath tub and play gym and Mobile for the crib has well.
What kind of monitor should I use. How many receiving blankets do I need to get. I know about clothes but got to wait for my second ultrasound to really confirm it a girl since the baby kept on moving with my first at 21 weeks. Is there anything I need. The baby is born winter time where I live. Thanks so much. Trying to bring memory up and so don’t to get a whole lot.
My son hates the baby bath tub. He wants to sit up so bad and play. We have quit using it, and he just takes a bath with my husband right now. I have looked in walmart and babies r us, and I have not found one yet. I hate buying stuff online, but it may come to that I guess. Are they not safe or something?
Really? Wow I didn’t know that. I guess that makes since though.

What do you think of this for my 7 month old? He can now sit unsupported for a good 10 min or so, but gets unbalanced. I was thinking this would be better in many ways than either his infant baby bath tub AND the big bath.
1. He could sit up instead of laying back, cause he loves to splash the water and it would be more fun for him.
2. It would help to support him with me constantly holding him and worrying about him tipping.
3. It would save water, cause I would have to fill up the bug bath.
Too bad our kitchen sink it way too small, but good idea.
The chair would be harder to use, cause I wouldn’t be able to get his butt very well.
By the way, I would absolutely NEVER leave him alone. BUT, I would have to hold him at every single moment of the bath. I would be able to use both hands to wash him. I guess I said it in a way that makes it seem like I would leave him alone. That is the worst thing you could do.
www.babyanywhere.com Make bath time a pleasant, snug and safe experience for you and your baby with the Batya baby bathtub! The Batya baby bathtub is a soft and safe floating baby bathtub pillow made of a soft and gentle material. It cradles your baby in the tub and makes bathing your baby so much easier for you. The Batya allows your elder child and your baby to have a bath at the same time. It is easy to clean and light and portable. Enjoy!
1.) was told that because the babies bones are soft and the small baby bath tub is hard plastic, it can damage the baby. but it seems to make sense to use it with gentle shower over lower abdomen area, if at home, after doing a no1 or 2 in nappies rather than just resorting to wet baby wipes which would be used outdoors.
2.) same with haircuts, was told have to be extra careful, since baby’s skull is soft. so would it be safe to cut and use clippers before 3months? was informed that hair will grow more abundantly and healthily, if hair is clipped, just like a man’s beard becomes thicker and more abundant with each shave.
3.) can normal pillows be used by baby or would special baby pillows be required?
thanks in advance
thanks so much for excellent advice from everyone here, so appreciated, thanks again !
okay, I may or may not be pregnant. Either way, that’s okay. I know I can get through it and be alright. But if I am, I’d like to be prepared so, so far I’ve composed a list of all the things I’d most likely need (with costs and everything) can anyone tell me if I’m missing anything?
Crib (with crib mattress, crib sheets, and crib mattress pad)
Stroller (which comes with a car carrier)
Diaper bag
High chair
Changing table
Changing pad
Playpen
Blankets
Pacifiers
Bibs
Baby bath tub
baby carrier
baby swing
safety gate
Bottles
baby monitor
onsies
pajamas
baby shoes
baby clothes
baby socks
baby soap/shampoo
I didn’t calculate food or formula (or the big one, DIAPERS) but other than those am I missing anything I need to calculate into my possible budget.
I’m only 17, but I already graduated high school and I’m in college right now, my boyfriend also lives 13 hours away (he would move up here and we plan on getting married if I am, we were already engaged but it’d be for a sooner date, by a year). Any advice, tips, if I am, how should my boyfriend and I tell my parents? Also, so far with everything but the food, diapers, and formula I’m looking at spending ,600 and I have 0 already and a job, so does anyone have anything to add my list? Or tips like should I get another job (I only work 14 hours a week, and two days a week.)
I know I sound like I’m in a heap of mess and should abort it or set it up for adoption but I can’t deal with the conciousness of doing either since it’d be my fault he/she is born. I just need to be prepared for it and get tested and see my cardiologist (since I have a pacemaker) which adds into the mess of the situation but I’m not too stressed as I am trying to be prepared. So I’m sorry for rambling, but am I missing anything on my list?
I’m going to be a new mommy in March. My hubby and I are trying to finish up our registry, but can’t seem to decide on a few last items. Any recent mommies out there have some recommendations on these items: baby slings (comfortable, easy to use preferably), a stroller that also has the baby carrier and car seat holder, and the easiest to use baby bath tub/shower center?
Hello I am 23 weeks w/ a baby girl, and we are going shopping later with exactly 0 (we are careful budgeters). Obviously that is not enough for baby items lol, because we have been doing our shopping gradually, spending small amounts of money at a time. This is our first child, so I have NO IDEA what I really need.
Some things I have already gotten:
- Stroller
- Car seat
- Diaper pail
- Bedding Set
- Crib matress cover
- 5 outfits (were obviously getting more)
- A few pairs of socks
- Diaper bag
- Baby bath tub
- Hooded towels / Washcloths
My dad is buying her crib as his baby gift, but I need to know what else I need!!
