I’m considering the "Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub" for .00. I have been spending SOOO much time reading tub reviews on BRU and Target. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2403667&cp=2255976.2256088.2256094&parentPage=family
Maybe the above "link" will work to show the tub that I’m considering.

Next to wrapping him up in bubble wrap, I thought I had taken every safety precaution possible but he’s still getting a new boo-boo daily. Bath time seems to be the worst.
Did the same happen to your baby when going through this stage?

(I remember my oldest having the frequent bruises between his knees & ankles when he first started walking but I don’t recall him ever bumping his head this much.)

Now I’m really questioning how common this is since Yahoo suggested that I put this question in the hockey section.
LOL Kammy, I just moved the coffee table into the garage last night; I’m hoping that will help some.
(It’s a round table but he was bumping his chin on it when he would fall.)
Sorry about the thumb’s down, I’m not giving them. Thanks for answering my question. : )

How is my baby gift basket coming along?

My friend is due next month and I been gathering stuff over the weeks to make a gift basket for her daughter that is on her way. Can you give me some opinions, other things I might want to buy for it, and some decorating tips. So far here are some of the things I got:

- 5 bodysuit pack
- Baby wipes
- A pack of two pacifiers
- A box of two bottles
- A soft baby blanket
- A duck w/ hood bath towel

Here are some pictures

Sorry for the quality, I used my camera on my phone and the flash wasn’t working.

Baby shower thank you cards etiquette….??

Okay – so at one of my baby showers three women went in on a gift. Well it was really more like a bath theme – so a towel, robe, bath toys, & some baby shampoo and lotion.

Do I need to send all three of them a thank you note or can I send one of them a thank you and put all three of their names on the card? They are all neighbors.

Bathing an older baby?

My daughters 7.5 months old and has outgrown her baby bath tubs so at Christmas I went and bought her the munchkin inflatable duck tub

http://www.munchkin.com/products/detail.html?section=prodCategories&ID=10000&pID=168

It has been great, but now that she knows how to pull up she has taken to trying to use the inflatable sides to stand up which of course can’t support her weight and she ends up nearly hitting her head on the side of the bath tub

So I’ve herd great comments about the safety first Tubside bath seat

http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=2857180&cp=2582924.2582927.2582927&parentPage=family

So I bought it today and read the instructions and it said it wasn’t suitable for a baby who could pull up, I figured it wouldn’t be that big of a deal and came to use it……only to find out my stupid bathtub edge is too big and the retractable arm won’t sit on the edge of my bath tub (so back to walmart I go tommorrow to return it)

So now I hear about these bath tub rings I come to look them up at stores in my area and you can’t buy them anymore. I’m guessing to too many neglectful parents and too many deaths because of them

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VK4FG295L._SL500_AA280_.jpg

So anyways I have found some used ones in the area and just wondering if they have the same precaution of if a baby can pull itself up they can’t use it anymore

Also what have you done if you didn’t use the rings or baths? I tried to bath her with nothing and she was slipping and sliding everywhere and I even have slip grooves built into my bath tub…should I get the suction cup ones from the store to reduce the slippage?

Just wondering what other people have done, and it’s not an option to let my daughter stand to get bathed as I don’t want it to become a habit for when she is older and become a slip hazard! I’ve fallen backwards in the bathtub and hit the back of my head on the faucet when I was 3 and from what I’ve herd from my mother it wasn’t a fun experiance

I do have a detachable shower head which has been great and fun lol

My son is 3 months old and has sensitive skin. I’ve tried the Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo, but that makes him red. I’ve also tried "Grins and Giggles" by Gerber and that seems to be better on his skin, but he’s still a little sensitive to that.
I’m wondering .. what do you use on your baby when they take a bath??
And if your baby has sensitive skin — what body wash (shampoo) worked best??
And, how often do you bathe your baby??

Thanks!

Baby Shower Gifts & Cake?

My baby shower is on November 14th. Im having a boy. Its from 3pm-7pm. Its kind of going to be a big event. My invitation list has about 45 people on it. I have a lot of friends & family. Well anyways we are going to play about 5-6 games. I don’t know what to give out for gifts when a person wins. I know the typical bath & body type gifts but I want something different.
I don’t want the gifts to be cheap & I don’t want to have to spend a lot of money either.
Any suggestions on gifts?
Also, Im debating about weather I want a cake or a cupcake cake
[cupcakes put together to look like a cake].
If I get a cake its going to have my ultrasound on it.

Please answer both questions & if you have any other ideas that I can do at my baby shower PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE!!!
